WELCOME TO BOARD OF AYURVEDIC & UNANI SYSTEMS OF MEDICINE
The Board of Ayurvedic and Unani Systems of Medicine, Himachal Pradesh is functioning since 1971. Its main function is to register Ayurvedic and Unani Practitioners in the State of Himachal Pradesh and regulate the practice in such systems. The Board of Ayurvedic & Unani Systems of Medicine, Himachal Pradesh is governed by the Himachal Pradesh Ayurvedic and Unani Practitioners Act, 1968 and it was established under section 3 of the said act. However the Himachal Pradesh Ayurvedic and Unani Practitioners Act, 1968 has been amended as the Himachal Pradesh Ayurvedic and Unani Practitioners (Amended) Act, 1977. Presently the Board is registering both Doctor and Pharmacists of Ayurvedic and Unani Systems of Medicine who are bonafide residents of Himachal Pradesh. Earlier the practitioners on experience basis were also registered under (RMP) Part-III but after the enforcement of the Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970, which came into force w.e.f. 01.10.1976 in all the State of India only qualified practitioners are eligible for registration.

मुझे यह जानकर अति प्रसन्नता हो रही है कि आयुर्वेद विभाग हिमाचल प्रदेश आयुर्वेदिक एवं यूनानी चिकित्सा पद्धति बोर्ड को कम्पयूटरीकृत(Digitalize) करने जा रहा है ऐसा करने से पूरे प्रदेश में दूर दराज इलाकों एवं अन्य प्रदेशो में रह रहे आयुर्वेदिक - यूनानी चिकित्सक एवं फार्मासिस्ट घर बैठे अपना पंजीकरण करवा सकते है इससे उनका शिमला आने का खर्चा बचेगा | हिमाचल प्रदेश आयुर्वेदिक एवं यूनानी चिकित्सा पद्धति बोर्ड को कम्पयूटरीकृत करने से पारदर्शिता आएगी और प्रत्येक लाभार्थी को उसके दूरभाष पर हर तरह की सूचनाएं उपलव्ध होगी जिससे हर कोई बोर्ड की गतिविधियों से जुड़ा रहेगा | हिमाचल प्रदेश आयुर्वेदिक एवं यूनानी चिकित्सा पद्धति बोर्ड को Online करने के लिए मेरी शुभकामनाएं |

यह हार्दिक हर्ष का विषय है कि राज्य में आयुर्वेद के उत्थान के लिए हर संम्भव प्रयास किए जा रहे है | इसी दिशा में वर्षो पुराने हिमाचल प्रदेश आयुर्वेदिक एवं यूनानी चिकित्सा पद्धति बोर्ड को कम्पयूटरीकृत (Digitalise) करना एक ऐतिहासिक कदम है | इस सुविधा के द्वारा सभी आयुर्वेदिक एवं यूनानी चिकित्सक व आयुर्वेदिक फार्मासिस्ट घर बैठे अपना पंजीकरण व नवीनीकरण का लाभ उठा सकते है | यह सुविधा दूर दराज स्थानों तथा अन्य प्रदेशों में रहने वालो के लिए अत्यन्त लाभकारी सिद्ध होगी | आज के नवीन युग में इसकी नितान्त आवश्यकता है | इससे समय की बचत होगी और कार्यक्षमता भी बढ़ेगी | इस कार्यप्रणाली को अपनाने से आयुर्वेदिक विभाग में पारदर्शिता आएगी | हिमाचल प्रदेश आयुर्वेदिक एवं यूनानी चिकित्सापद्धति बोर्ड के कंप्यूटरीकरण के युग में पदार्पण के लिए बहुत-बहुत बधाई तथा ढेरो शुभकामनाएं |

It is a matter of great pride that the Himachal Pradesh Board of Ayurvedic and Unani Systems of Medicine is being digitalized and I feel obliged to the Government of Himachal Pradesh for according permission for this historical initiative. The Himachal Pradesh Board of Ayurvedic and Unani Systems of Medicine is functioning since 1971. Its main function is to register Ayurvedic and Unani practitioners in the state of Himachal Pradesh and regulate the practice in such systems. The said Board is governed by the Himachal Pradesh Ayurvedic and Unani Practitioners Act, 1968. However the Himachal Pradesh Ayurvedic and Unani Practitioners Act, 1968 has been amended as the Himachal Pradesh Ayurvedic and Unani Practitioners (Amendment) Act, 1977. Presently the Board is registering both Doctors and Pharmacists of Ayurvedic and Unani Systems of Medicine who are bonafide residents of Himachal Pradesh. After digitalization of the Board, the practitioners will have online access for registration and renewal. This will definitely benefit the persons, who are living in far flung areas of Himachal Pradesh and even in other states thereby saving their time and finance. This will also strengthen the working of the Board and bring the transparency. I am highly thankful to Sh. Jai Ram Thakur, Hon’ble Chief Minister, Sh. Vipin Singh Parmar, Hon’ble Ayurveda Minister, Sh. Sanjay Gupta, IAS, worthy Additional Chief Secretary Ayurveda and Sh. Sanjeev Bhatnagar, IAS, worthy Director Ayurveda-cum-Chairman H.P. Board of Ayurvedic and Unani Systems of Medicine for their valuable guidance and consistent support for the accomplishment of said endeavour. It is a great privilege that the Board has been digitalized in my tenure.
